Movie art books are a fantastic way to learn about storytelling through art, how to use composition and how to portray emoting through design and colours. Movie art books are one of my favourite styles of art books. The first ever art book I remember buying was The Art of Mulan. I still have it and flip through it on a regular basis.
The most recent art book that I've purchased is Crimson Peak The Art of Darkness. I can't tell you how much I love the Crimson Peak movie. The set design, the costumes, the cinematography and the story.. this movie is just perfect. Gothic romance is one of my favourite genres and it's so wonderful that Guillermo Del Toro made Crimson Peak, he portrayed the genre so beautifully. The Crimson Peak 'Art of Darkness' is a fabulous book for inspiration. What are your favourite movie art books? I'd love for you to share in the comments below.
