I thought I'd write a little bit about the most common art supplies I use. You can get these supplies from most well-equipped art shops and from the internet.
For my latest artwork "Giselle", I used Faber-Castell Castell 9000 Smooth Graphite Pencils. I really like the quality of these pencils. They hardly ever break and you can buy them separately from the art shop whenever you run out. The pencils I use most often are H, HB, 2B, 3B and 4B pencils. I painted the golden coloured lettering for "Giselle" with Golden Colors acrylic paint in the shade "Iridescent Gold".
The most important part of achieving the kind of detail that I have in my graphite pencil drawings is the paper I draw on. It's Canson Bristol paper. The paper is made for technical drawing. I love it because the surface of the paper is extra smooth. There's hardly any texture to it so it allows me to draw the tiniest of details and shadows with extra meticulousness.
